Decal (Ceramic Transfer Print)

Custom Glaze Colour

Your signature brand colour is matched to Pantone and mixed as a custom glaze. The piece is entirely your brand colour — no printed logo, but unmistakably “yours” in colour.

Step 2: Prepare Your Artwork File

For decal printing, send your factory a vector file (AI, EPS, or PDF) with:

• Colours specified as Pantone (PMS) codes, not RGB or CMYK

• A mock-up image showing the desired result (even a rough sketch helps)

Important: Ask the factory to send you a colour proof (digital mock-up on a cup photo) before they produce the decal screen. This is free and catches placement or colour issues before any money is spent on tooling.

Step 3: Order Pre-Production Samples

Never skip sampling. A pre-production sample typically costs USD 30–80 per piece (deductible from your first order) and takes 10–15 days to produce. It lets you:

• Check the actual colour match to your Pantone spec
• Feel the weight, balance and handle ergonomics
• Verify the decal registration and position
• Check glaze quality and surface finish
• Test packaging fit if you have a custom box

Once you approve the pre-production sample in writing, mass production begins.

Step 4: Confirm Packaging

Packaging decisions must be made before production starts, as the carton dimensions are built around the packaging format. Options include:

• Standard brown export carton: Lowest cost. Suitable for B2B shipping to distributors.
• Individual gift box (custom printed): Increases perceived retail value significantly. Requires 2–3 week lead time for box printing.
• Inner foam/divider insert: Protects the cup in transit. Essential for bone china.

Step 5: Place the Production Order

Once samples are approved, confirm:
